The Loft Kids Playhouse with it's upstairs attic, shutters and window boxes, makes a perfect first home... but without the mortgage! The Loft is supplied compete with 2 opening and 2 fixed safety windows, faux shutters for the windows, and two window boxes, however it is the internal platform with safety rail and ladder which is most appealing to children! The Loft comes pre-treated with a mould-resistant, anti-fungicidal basecoat, however to ensure a long life a weatherproofing preservative topcoat will be required. Mineral roofing felt and Perspex® safety windows are included as standard. The Shire Loft Playhouse has been manufactured using smooth planed white pine from sustainable forests, and is available in 1 size; 8x6. It has 12mm shiplap weatherboarding on the walls, 12mm t&g timber floor, 35x35mm framing, 11mm OSB roof, and opening mortice & tenon window as standard. This playhouse has been manufactured to British Standard BS5665 EN71 for your child's safety.

The Shire Loft Little House or Playhouse is manufactured with 35 x 35mm framing. It comes with 12mm thick tongue & groove cladding on the walls and floor, with an 11mm solid sheet OSB roof, and a 12" verandah overhang. Two opening & two fixed styrene windows are supplied as standard, and a complimentary diamond window is fitted in the door.
All buildings in the Shire garden building range are supplied pre-treated inside and out with a quality, water-based, non-toxic, anti-fungicidal base coat. This ensures that your garden building is ready to accept any preservative colour of your choice. A factory-applied preservative topcoat is also available, however this is not a decorative finish. A single door 590mm wide is supplied with a black iron pull handle. A styrene glazed diamond is fitted in the door. No locking mechanism has been included.
Doors and Locking System
These buildings are supplied in a flat-pack modular design with smaller panels allowing for easy transportation through your house or garage! Assembly is straight-forward for the competent DIY'er, and no professional experience is necessary. Normally 2 people can usually complete the job in 2-4 hours.
Professional Assembly Option
If you aren't able to install this building yourself, we can arrange for a professional erecting team to build it for you. We require clear access and a suitably prepared, firm, level site to be ready when the installers arrive.
This garden building is supplied as a full kit, complete with all necessary fixings, fastenings glazing and roofing materials. A window box is available as an optional extra for this model, along with a professional assembly, additional clear topcoat preservative, and a pressure-treated timber base c/w adjustable metal spikes.
Please contact us prior to purchase if you have any queries regarding the dimensions. Information shown above has been supplied by the manufacturer, and is as accurate as possible (errors and omissions excepted), however it is intended only as a guide. We recommend that you install the building on a solid, free-draining base, with at least 60cm free space all around for maintenance and to avoid splashback. You should treat all sections with a high quality, spirit-based preservative prior to assembly, and subsequently every year in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Please ensure that regular general maintenance is carried out on all moving parts, and that the roofing felt is regularly inspected, and replaced if required.

Deliveries are available for most of mainland England, Wales and Scotland, however no deliveries are available to the Yellow Zone, or to any island or offshore area... please see map below, or click here for more information.
The current delivery lead time shown is typical for Red Zones, however this is approximate and cannot be guaranteed. The lead time may be longer for outlying areas. Installation is available for most delivery areas, however this will extend the lead time to approximately 28 days.
